Ganesha Gayatri

We learned the great gayatri mantra a few videos ago, so now we know that Gayatri is the goddess of light, and there is a Gayatri Mantra for each deity.

Fort he next few Saturdays we will be learning a Gayatri Mantra for a different deity, and today we are starting, of course, with the Ganesha Gaya tri mantra.
All of the deity Gayatri Mantras have a similar construction, where they start with the Sanskrit symbol OM, representing the ceation of the Universe, folowed by the name of the deity and the word Vidmahe, where we are calling the intelligence and gifts of the deity.

Then we pronounce a different name for the same deity, followed by the Word Dhimahi, where we invoke their wisdom as a sage, then we ask a manifestation (Tanno) of the deity to illumine our intellect (Prachodayat)

There are several Ganesha Gayatri Mantras. Today we are learning the one that comes in the Ganesha Upanishad.

The mantra is:

OM EKADANTAYA VIDMAHE
VAKRATUNDAYA DHIMAHI
TANNO DANTI PRACHODAYAT

Mantra for Proactive Protection

The goddess Chamundi is an aspect of Durga and Parvati, Shiva’s spouse. It is a feminine being created by 30 cellestials during a fire ceremony to defeat the daemon Mahi Asura.
The mantra for the feminine principle is said to produce tangible power and the wisdom to use it properly. As a by-product of chanting this mantra, self—confidence or self-esteem springing from contact with the Great Feminine becomes manifest in the chanter.
It is a Mantra or Proactive protection. Destruction of negative forces or entities. Prolonged use of this mantra has been reported by many to produce feelings of self-confidence, especially in women.

The mantra is:

The great Gayatri Mantra

Gayatri meditation is the highest form of meditation known in the Vedas. Gayatri is chanted for the attainment of universal consciousness and for the awakening of intuitive powers.
Gayatri meditation destroys all delusions, energizes prana, bestows longevity, health, brilliance and illumination.
The Gayatri Mantra is the key to opening the door of Cosmic Consciousness.
Gayatri Mantra is addressed to the energy of the Sun, Surya. This Mantra has infinite potentiality. It is a vibrant formula. The Gayatri Mantra is the bestower of all that is beneficial to the person who chants it.
Chanting the Gayatri Mantra regularly and with faith relieves diseases, wards of all misery, and fulfills all desires.
“Of all mantras, the supreme and most potent power of powers is the great, glorious Gayatri Mantra.” (Sant Keshavadas – Gayatri, the highest meditation, 1978)
“All spiritual powers and potencies are contained hidden within it. The Gayatri is meditation on spiritual light. While other mantras are great for their purpose, this one is specifically for the purpose of enlightening the intellect.
The Gayatri Mantra is effective in the bringing in of spiritual light into the physical body. The Gayatri Mantra, therefore, will bring luster to the aura and promote the accumulation of spiritual light at the cellular level. This quality alone makes it a powerful healing mantra. It also builds a cumulative quality of protection in form of spiritual armor, with protracted use.” (Thomas Ashley-Farrand, - The Ancient Power of Sanskrit Mantra and Ceremony, Vol. II, 2002)
Gayatri Mantra removes all fears. It is the best cure for all ills. It destroys karma and blessed with liberation. Wherever Gayatri Mantra is chanted, devils and evil spirits are driven away by the fire of that Word of God.
(Sant Keshavadas – Gayatri, the highest meditation, 1978)

Most Powerful Healing Rama Mantra

One of the most powerful healing mantras from the Hindu tradition.
Can be used for any kind of medical, mental or emotional problem.
Mi late Teacher Namadeva Acharia used to tell us about many testimonials of his students of incredible results with this mantra, like helping with prostate problems, lowering blood pressure, and even helping cure cáncer.
The results from chanting may vary from person to person. But these examples are dramatic and inspiring testimony to the power of sanskrit mantras.

The mantra is:
om apadamapa hartaram
dataram sarva sampadam
loka bhi ramam sri ramam
bhuyo bhuyo namam-yaham
“O healing potency, source of blessings, send the Lord Rama’s and Sita’s energy right here to the Earth, to the Earth (twice for emphasis) where it is so needed.”
