Ganesha:

Ganesha is the Elephant god, whose main attribute is that of removing obstacles. He is the son of Shiva and Parvati. When practicing  Sanskrit Mantra, we should always honor Ganesha first, for he opens all doors.

His “Bija” or seed mantra, that contains all the information af the principle of removing obstacles is GAM.

His basic or “Mula” Mantra is:

OM GAM GANAPATAYEY NAMAHA

Ganesha and Ganapati are the Same deity. All deities of the hindy pantheon have at least 108 names or attributes.

Lakshmi:

Lakshmi is the goddess of abundance and the consort of Vishnu, the preserver who along with Brahma, the creator, and Shiva, the destroyer, is part of the masculine trinity of the hindu pantheon.

Vishnu has manifested himself throughout many avatars, and along woth him, Lakshmi reincarnates as his wife.

Goddess Lakshmi showers her blessings over all her devothes!

Her seed or bija mantra is “SHRIM”, ande her Mula or foundation mantra is:

OM SHRIM MAHA LAKSHMIYEI NAMAHA (or SWAHA)

Saraswati:

Saraswati is the goddess of knowledge and wisdom. She rules science, literature, speech, arts and music. When we invoke her trhough her mantras, she also assists us in the correct Sanskrit pronunciation.

Saraswati is Brahma’s consort, previously mentioned as the creator.

Among her attributes, she aids in our studies, or simply as an inspirational muse.

Her seed or bija mantra is “EIM”, ande her Mula or foundation mantra is:

OM EIM SARASWATIYEI NAMAHA (or SWAHA)

Shiva:

Shiva, known as the destroyer, is the embodiment of consciousness and bliss, alogn with his consort Parvati. He destroys inner and outer enemies and negativity, connecting us with our own divinity.

His “Bija” or seed mantra is “HRAUM”, and his mula or foundation mantra is

OM NAMAH SHIVAYA

Krishna:

Krishna, along with Rama, is an Avatar or incarnation of Lord Vishnu.

He is one of the most popular deities of the Hindu pantheon, existing many temples in India and throughour the world dedicated to this deity.

He personifies love and bilss. Although there is not a bija or sidd mantra for Krishna, the sound KLIM, or principle of attraction, is used in many of his mantras.

His mula or foundation mantra is:

OM SRI KRISHNAYA NAMAHA

Hanuman:

Hanuman is the monkey god, the lord of the wind, and most devoted server of Lord Rama, an avatar of Vishnu. Hanuman represents the Prana, or vital force, and he is extremely strong. Certain scollars of the hindu philosophy consider him as being part of Lord Shiva’s energy.

His seed mantra is HUM, and his mula mantra is:

OM HUM HANUMATE NAMAHA
