This is the mantra
for Rahu, the North Node of the Moon, that comes in the scriptures known as The
Puranas.
The mantra is:
ARDHAKAYAM
MAHAVIRYAM, CHANDRADITYA VIMARDANAM;
SIMHICA GARBHA-SAMBHUTAM, TAM RAHUM PRANAMAMYAHAM.
SIMHICA GARBHA-SAMBHUTAM, TAM RAHUM PRANAMAMYAHAM.
OM
RAHUVE NAMAHA
I propitiate the spirit of Rahu, who although
having only half a body is yet brave, one who eclipses both Moon and the Sun,
one born of Simhika.
