Dear readers.
Today we will be learning a mantra to Narasimha, the Lion god. He is the
4th avatar or incarnation of Vishnu, who in his quality of preserving the
Universe's harmony, decided to come down as Narasimha to defeat the demon
Hiranya Kashapu. This evil king performed his tapas or austerities in such
perfection, Brahma had no choice but to grant him the boon of invincibility he
asked for. He could not be defeated by either man or demon, at day or at night,
inside or outside his palace.
He was causing a lot of trouble, and was planning on killing his own
son, Prahalad, who since a tender age showed signs of sanctity, which
displeased his demon father.
Narasimha, being neither man or beast, ends up defeating Hiranya
Kashapu, at dusk, nor day or night, at the threshold of his palace, nor inside
or out.
This story of Hindu mythology has as a message that good always finds a
way of defeating evil.
The mantra is

To learn how to
pronounce this mantra, whatch my YouTube video:
The mala used tho chant this mantra is a black onyx mala. This gem has
the metaphysical power of absorbing negativity, spearing us from it.
When we chant this mantra on it, it becomes a protective talisman we can
wear.
