Namaste.
Once more, welcome to my blog, and thank you for taking the time to visit and follow my teachings J

Today we will learn a Mantra that helps parting souls in their transition to the after life, and that also helps loved ones in their grief.

Is a mantra to Narayana, The Great Soul. He is an aspect of Vishnu, the god of the masculine trilogy of the Hindu pantheon, who is the preserver of the Universe’s harmony. Narayana offers our last home when we depart.

Good Luck Mantra

Namaste. Once more, welcome to my blog, and thank you for taking the time to visit it and follow me.

Today we will learn a month to help us bring good luck. It is the mantra to Subramanya, Ganesha's older brother.
The union of Shiva and his spouse Parvaty was so powerful, that when a drop of fluid from both of them escaped, it made a crack on the Universe, giving birth to Subramanya.
He's vehicle is a peacock, and his power is that of bringing good luck.
For this reason this mantra brings us immediate good luck, tapping into this principle through Subramanya.

The Mantra is:

OM SHARAVANA BHAVAYA NAMAHA
OM                             Sanskrit symbol representing the creation of the Universe
SHARAVANA BHAVAYA          Name of deity with the masculine suffix
NAMAHA                I salute and honor you

Mantra to dispel Evil Energies

Dear readers.

Today we will be learning a mantra to Narasimha, the Lion god. He is the 4th avatar or incarnation of Vishnu, who in his quality of preserving the Universe's harmony, decided to come down as Narasimha to defeat the demon Hiranya Kashapu. This evil king performed his tapas or austerities in such perfection, Brahma had no choice but to grant him the boon of invincibility he asked for. He could not be defeated by either man or demon, at day or at night, inside or outside his palace.

He was causing a lot of trouble, and was planning on killing his own son, Prahalad, who since a tender age showed signs of sanctity, which displeased his demon father.

Narasimha, being neither man or beast, ends up defeating Hiranya Kashapu, at dusk, nor day or night, at the threshold of his palace, nor inside or out.
This story of Hindu mythology has as a message that good always finds a way of defeating evil.

The mantra is
NARASIMHA        Name f the deity
TA VA DA    Powerful seed sounds representing duality
SO HUM      I am

The mala used tho chant this mantra is a black onyx mala. This gem has the metaphysical power of absorbing negativity, spearing us from it.

Shiva Mula Mantra

Namaste,

Today will talk about Lod Shiva's Mula or foundation Mantra.
Shiva is one of the gods of the masculine trinity of the Hindu pantheon, along with Brahma and Vishnu. He is the destroyer of all negativity, and he is also the god of consciousness and bliss. For this reason he is followed by all yogis. Shiva is the ultimate Yogi.
He created yoga as we know it today, with all its ramifications. Don't forget that Mantras are the yoga of sound, and are part of Bhakti Yoga, the yoga of devotion.
One of Shivas indirect disciples named Patanjali, compiled the teachings of yoga, known as the yoga sutras.
There are two different representations of Shiva. One is the Yogi sitting on a tiger skin, in Lotus pose, meditating and wearing tiger skin garments.
Mount Kailash in the background. He wears rosaries or malas around his neck and arms, Made of the sacred seed called rudraksha. Rudra is an aspect of Shiva. Rudrakshas are the tears of Rudra. He has long dreads and a waterfall pouring from the top of his head. The new moon symbolizes the Soma Chakra, where the pineal gland is located.
The other popular depiction is Shiva Nataraj, a standing dancer with Serpens coming out of his hair and a halo around him.
A popular translation of this Shiva Mantra is that he is one with OM, with the creation of the universe. Another interpretation is based on the fact that Shiva is a pilar of infinite energy, located in our bodies from the base of the spine to the crown of the head projecting into the infinite on both sides.
THE six syllables of this mantra represent:

OM                               Mind
NA                                Earth
MA                               Water
SHI                              Fire
VA                                Air
YA                                Ether

The Mantra is:

OM NAMAH SHIVAYA
OM                             Sanskrit symbol representing the creation of the Universe
NAMAH                   I salute and honor you (short for Namaha)
SHIVAYA                Name of the deity with the masculine suffix.
