Vishnu Avatar: KULKI, the Divine Destroyer/ Redemer


The tenth and final Avatar of Vishnu is depicted as arriving on a white horse with a sword that blazes like a comet. He is the coming one who restores Dharma. First he destroys the old world, then he inaugurates the Golden Age.
The same way th Buddhists call the coming of One Maitreya, the Christians are waiting for the return of the Christ, and Jews are waiting for the Messiah, the Hindus are waiting for Kulki. It also goes by the name of Panduranga.

Vishnu Avatar: BUDDHA, the Divine Deception (Individual Responsibility)


Tibetan Buddhism is often referred to as Esoteric Buddhism. Tibetan Buddhism retains some of the secret Vedic practices that have been one of the foundations of Hindu mysticism for centuries. The classical Buddhist teachings emphasizing personal responsibility and self-reliance are combined with a cosmology of symbolic representational deities that are propitiated and their principles and aspects of power invoked.

This mantra helps develop the true desire for higher states of the mind called Bodhi Chitta, and prepares the mind to receive enlightenment.

Vishnu Avatar: BUDDHA, the Divine Deception (Individual Responsibility)


Today’s mantra is a popular buddhist mantra used for protection. It evokes the power of the vajra, a protection object, along with sound (mantra) to work as a talismán. It protects the meditator and the meditation space. This mantra can be chanted along a house or office space to clear negative energy.



The mantra is:

HUNG VAJRA PEH

"Hung" is the Sanskrit word "hum," spoken in the back of the mouth with lips parted. This pronunciation is most common in Northern India, Nepal and Tibet. "Vajra" means object of power. "Peh" is a peculiarly Tibetan and Chinese pronunciation form of the Sanskrit word "Phat." Thus, an approximation of the meaning is: "Invoking the word-object of power and putting it forth with force from the throat chakra, I destroy negativity!

Vishnu Avatar: BUDDHA, the Divine Deception (Individual Responsibility)


Today’s mantra is is to Buddha as the ninth avatar of Vishnu. There where different kind of divine work the Buddha came to do. Buddha means the enlightened one. Siddhartha Gautama was the great teacher of spiritual consciousness. A whole religion developed around him, Buddhism. We will learn as well a few Buddhist mantras in the following weeks.

Buddhist taught that the root of unhappiness is desires, so we must detach from all desire. As its main principles, there are the Four Noble Truth:

1. All Existence, as we know it, is suffering.

2. Misery is rooted in ignorant craving or desire.

3. Misery can be abolished by eliminating ignorant craving or desire.

4. This elimination can be accomplished by following the prescription offered by the Eightfold Path.

The Eightfold Path:

1. Right Understanding

2. Right Mindfulness

3. Right Speech

4. Right Action

5. Right Livelihood

6. Right Effort

7. Right Meditation

8. Right Emancipation



The mantra is:

OM SRI BUDDHA AVATARAYA NAMAHA
