Mantra to the Power of the three Gunas

Today’s mantra is a mantra from the Devi Mahatmya, or Hym to the Glory of the Goddess. A Hindu religious text describing the Goddess as the supreme power and creator of the universe. It is part of the Markandeya Purana.
This particular verse we are learning today bestiws Divine Mother the power of the three Gunas or atributes.

The mantra is:
SRI STISHTI VINASHANAM
SHAKTI BHUTE SANATANI
GUNAS-RAYE GUNAMAYE
NARAYANI NAMOSTUTE
You are the eternal power behind the manifestation of creation, preservation and destruction. Because the embodiment as the power o the three gunas (attributes) depend upon you. Salutations to you as the power of the divine.

Sarva Mangala Mantra

Today’s mantra is a mantra to Gauri, the White goddess, who is a softer aspect of Durga, ruling over relationships. She is the Divine Mother that wants the best for her children. This particular one is a mantra for auspiciousness. It also honors Gauri as a female Shiva. It balances the Shiva-Shakti energy, the male and the female. So it is a good mantra to keep a relationship stable or when attracting a viable spouse.
It is a mantra for invocation of abundant blessings of the Great Feminine.
This mantra is also used as a blessing given by priests to puja sponsors at the conclusion of the ceremony.

The mantra is:
SARVA MANGALA MANGALYE
SHIVE SARVARTHA SADIKE
SHARANYE TRYAMBAKE GAURI
NARAYANI NAMOSTUTE
May she whose touch brings ecstasy, She who activates the masculine itself, who opens the spiritual eye of wisdom, who is worshipped and revered by all the highest realized sages, bless me (one) and always serve my (one’s) highest good.
